The St. Mark's vs. Bishop Lynch matchup wasn't short on prospects at all. Some of the best players in the city in their respected classes were on the floor last night. St. Mark's ended up getting the win behind outstanding performances from 2020 wing Andrew Laczkowski and 2021 wing Harrison Ingram as well as 2022 G Colin Smith and 2022 G Noah Shelby. Bishop Lynch was led by fast rising 2021 PG Imo Essien who played an outstanding game from start to finish and 2019 unsigned senior Zach Muller.
Imo was tremendous in defeat for Bishop Lynch. He is a guard that doesn't get sped up and is always in control of the game. He finished with 22 points scoring from all three levels and got his teammates involved with his facilitating.
Zach was productive as always last night for Bishop Lynch. The unsigned senior rebounded, scored from 17 feet and in and showed his athleticism with a big time baseline dunk. Zach really understands how to play, D2 schools should be recruiting this prospect feverishly.
Andrew got it done in a major way last night. He scored at will and led his team with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Andrew connected on 5 three's and shot it well in the midrange. His team won and he picked up his first offer from the University of San Diego.
Harrison Ingram had a workman like performance in this one. The top 25 national prospect finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. He was just too much to handle for anyone Bishop Lynch put on him.
