TheTB5Reports Starting 5 For The Week of Jan. 21st-26th

The DFW provided us with more big time individual performances in wins last week. Big time players are making big time plays as guys continue their playoff push in the second half of district.


2019 JJ Pearce 6'10 F Drew Timme

Drew was phenomenal in a win over Richardson last week. The Gonzaga signee had 31 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and the game winning score to lead his team to victory. Timme has arguably been the best player in the Metroplex this year.


2020 Newman Smith 6'3 G Jarren Cook

Jarren was on fire leading his team to a victory over Conrad. The junior sharp shooter made 7 three's and finished with 33 points. Cook has been on a scoring tear all year and has Newman Smith primed for the playoffs.


2019 Colleyville Heritage 6'3 G Niko Bossinakis

Niko had it ALL working in a rivalry win versus Grapevine last week. The senior guard finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and hit the game tying three to send it to OT at the buzzer. Colleyville Heritage is having a fantastic season so far and Bossinakis has been a key cog in the team's success.


2022 Little Elm 6'5 G Tre White

The freshman Tre White erupted for 47 points and 10 rebounds and 5 assists in a win over Lake Dallas last week. The top 25 talent showed why he is so highly recruited and touted nationally. Little Elm will try and make a deep playoff run and Tre will need to play a huge role in the drive for a 5A state championship.



2019 Mansfield Timberview G CJ Smith

Senior guard CJ Smith had it working for Timberview in a win last week. Smith made 7 three's and finished with 30 points in a win. Timberview has been one of the best teams in the state and Smith has done an outstanding job leading his team. CJ is the maestro for Timberview and a run at another state championship will be heavily impacted on his play the rest of the year.
